In most cases of Bald Patches (Alopecia Areata), the bald patch/es often regrow on their own accord and in their own time, providing it is not a serious/severe case, i.e. total head hair loss (Alopecia Totalis) or total loss of all body hair (Alopecia Universalis).
Often, bald patches start as a 1p/10p size bald patch that doesn't always get any bigger, however, it can be quite stubborn in wanting to regrow. Or a single bald patch starts, followed by other bald patches. If these bald patches are next to each other, then often when hair is lost between these two patches, they become a single larger bald patch, which can be quite scary. But, please remember these are really two bald patches that have joined together.
